How plants grow

1.I learnt that tomatoes  don’t just need soil to grow they can use coconut fiber and minerals instead of soil.  

2.  I did an animation about how plants grow. Mine was about tomatoes and how they grow. I found out that you don’t have to use soil to help tomatoes you can use coconut fiber and minerals 

3. I read the book Ton Of Tomatoes I learnt in that book 

that you don’t have to use soil you can use coconut fiber instead of soil.

Maker space

On Friday we did maker space and my group made   four sandwiches. My group used celery, beetroot, carrot, lettuce.  A plant need water,sunlight and soil to grow

Geometry

On a google drawing we did some stuff that we learnt from geometry. I learnt how to do a 3D and 2D  cube. I learnt that geometry is mostly about shapes and cubes and hexagon pentagon and all kinds of shapes. I also learnt that a cube is made out of 6 squares

1. I learnt that geometry is mostly 3D and 2D.

2.  And I also learnt that geometry is also about shapes.

3. Geometry is about making shapes like a cube. 

4. I also learnt how to make a 3D cube and a 2D cube 

5.  I also learnt that geometry is also about combining shapes together like some cubes

7. I also learnt that geometry is  about learning to help you draw cubes and other shapes

8.  And i learnt how to make a open cube 

9.  I also learnt that  a cube is made out of 6 squares put together

              Melting ice block                                       1.My group used an ice cream container and then           we put some foam inside.   

2.Our juicy melted in the sun after two hours. 

3. It didn’t work because we used the wrong insulation.

There is 12 hours in a day and there is 12 hours in the night

Two minutes are 120 seconds 

One minute is 60 seconds

Three minutes are 240 seconds

There is 60 minutes in 1 hour

There are 480 seconds in 4 minutes

 One week is 7 day and two weeks are 14 mdays  

Three weeks are 21 days. 

 There is a long hand and a shorthand the long hand is minutes and the small hand is the hour hand.

We were learning about time.

In our maths groups we learnt that the big hand on a clock is minutes and the small hand is hour.

I learnt that 60 minutes is 1 hour and 60 seconds is 1 minute. I also learnt that 120 seconds is 2 minutes.

I also learnt that  there are 365 days in a 

year.

- 4 Food groups: I learnt that there is 4 food group meat, grains, dairy  and fruit/vegetables. 

- Takeaways I learnt that the fat chips from takeaway are good because the fat  chips soak up more oil then the skinny chips.

- Drinks: I learnt that powerade and coke zero and sparkling duet all have sugar but coke zero and powerade have the most sugar in them.

cross country

I enjoyed running at  the cross country at Bledisloe. I came in 5th place.

We practice some days and the rainy days we did not practice and the sunny day we did
